-- Founder/Director (deceased)
Morris was a well known real estate developer who worked
to create much of what we know today as the Washington D.C.
metropolitan area. Together with other entrepreneurial pioneers,
like Charles E. Smith, these men overcame extremes of economic
uncertainty left over from the Great Depression, as well as
challenges from anti-Semitism in the business community, to forge
strong and progressive partnerships for real estate acquisition and
they built continue today as some of Washington’s most desirable
locations to live.
A quiet philanthropist, he was particularly proud of founding and
co-developing with Frank Stick, a renowned marine biologist and
artist, the National Park in the Virgin Islands under the financial
auspices of Lawrence Rockefeller.
Chief Executive Officer/Director
Andy has a master’s degree in counseling and nearly 50 years
experience in real estate development, construction, and management.
He combines both to understand what it means to oversee a company
that is dedicated to taking care of families and homes. Building on
his father’s uncanny business sense, he has preserved and expanded
real estate assets for investor/partners throughout the local market
area, continues to seize upon fresh opportunities to improve the
quality of life for residents and clients and relentlessly pursues
“win-win” transactions, that are well known for transparency and
accountability. For example, using focused asset re-positioning
strategies, a $25 million dollar Washington DC property grew to a
value of $85 million in the last ten years.
Chandra Wright Marks
Chief Operating & Financial Officer/Director
Chandra has innovated efficient systems for management transitions,
improving every aspect of day-to-day property and construction
management, provided oversight for implementation of contracts,
budgets, projections, and proposals, and balancing attention to
detail with “big picture” perspective. Skilled in overcoming any
administrative challenge, she has been a key player in the
resolution of multi-party litigation, producing essential operating
documentation for multi-million dollar loans within short
time-frames, and establishing consistent team communications and
follow-through. These kinds of accomplishments have created a
high-morale employee atmosphere and a nonpolitical community feeling
amongst residents. Team members feel empowered that there is no
goal that cannot be achieved in spite of apparent obstacles.
Relentless in due diligence and problem-analysis, she specializes in
financial conundrums, issues with compliance, audits, state or
municipal regulations, and systems design and implementation. Along
with her team, she assumes fiduciary responsibility when Markswright
manages and develops an asset.
Michael has deep experience in Sales and Marketing, Project
Management, and Business Consulting. His major areas of expertise
are detailed analysis, out-of-the-box thinking, and trend analysis.
Based on his analyses, he has regularly saved his clients (IBM, UPS,
American Express, Ernst & Young, and the State Government of New
York, to name a few) hundreds of thousands of dollars and
considerable time when faced with their most difficult projects. His
innovative approach includes an ability to focus on current project
overview while simultaneously developing a vision that accurately
forecasts market data, directly contributing to the profitability of
a number of multi-million dollar endeavors.
